One Foot Square

August 13th to the 25th, 2011.

David Friesen, "The Artist" solo show, entitled One Foot Square

One Foot Square show posterThe Show was a concept he designed and worked on for over a year. It is a collection of 100 original oil paintings, all one foot square in size. Of these, roughly 50 beautifully framed, original oil paintings were shown and totally filled the spacious Kawartha Artists Gallery and Studio. (behind Delafosse Library, 420 O'Connell Road, Peterborough, Ontario, 705-741-2817)

The show, originally designed to be an ongoing mobile show that could be taken throughout Ontario and beyond, ran from August 13th to the 25th. The opening reception was held Saturday, August 13th, from 1PM to 4PM with many in attendence, and light refreshments were served. For those that could not make it to the opening, David was there from 1PM to 4PM every day throughout the duration of the show. The show was a great success, and by the turnout and sales, it appears David will have a very productive 2011 with many new projects up his sleeve.
